As part of my OU Course, I had to read and critically evaluate the following research paper “information behaviour of the researcher of the future“.
The research was commissioned by the British Library and JISC to identify how the specialist researchers of the future, currently in their school or pre-school years, are likely to access and interact with digital resources in five to ten years’ time.
I found the myths of the Google generation particularly interesting. This can be found towards the rear of the document.
Whilst these are young students, I see similar behaviour now in training courses I deliver around leadership and B2B sales from younger people.
I am not sure this is a good or bad thing, just different!
I would like to hear your thoughts about the document!
