Earlier this week I shared the following on LinkedIn and it has had 2k visits. On reflection I realised that not everyone who reads my blog is connected there, so sharing here also…..”I have been reflecting this evening that I haven’t particularly promoted my experience of online coaching, facilitation or training delivery within my network.
I started thinking back through my career and pulled together the strands on online “live” delivery experience..
1) 22 years on the receiving end of online learning, when I first used “First Class” as part of my Professional Diploma in Management.
2) 15 years of phone based coaching, before even skype was a thing. I did my initial coach training with Coach U, when we used bridge lines for the teleclass sessions.
3) 13 years of virtual instructor delivery, including beta testing of GoToTraining, when I ran an online coach training business with Axel Meierhoefer, PhD.
4) 10 years (next month) of delivery, week in, week out, of a marketing & finance module that is part of the OU Business School’s Professional Certificate in Management. I have recently started supporting a final year degree module on Leadership, with the first cohort finalising their six months next week.
5) 3 years ago I gained my third master’s degree, an MA in Online & Distance Education.
So I guess I am reasonably well prepared to support the potential surge of live virtual delivery of #coaching, #facilitation and #training due to the #CoronaVirus.”
