Whilst the course has not formally started yet, the Welcome Pack turned up today. Below is an image of it compared to ALL of the courses my wife is studying with the OU this year, which is 4 x 30 credit modules around languages! The contents of the box can be seen on my previous post.
The box contents are pretty varied and many of the activities are used in Week 1 to get us into creative mode. It also contains a T-shirt (wondering if it fits) and an iron transfer. The courses first assignment (of 5) is to design a T-shirt using a particular design flow. The box on the left is the course box. ALL of the books on the right are my wife’s 4 x 30 credit modules in languages.
Course forums are now open and people are introducing themselves. It is interesting to see that people are already self organising to meet up, at the London design fair as well as starting to use non OU platforms to keep in touch. Facebook now has a private group and there is also a Whatsapp group.
Wondering if I should get ahead with the Week 1 activities, even through we are three weeks off. I have a pretty hectic work schedule at the moment, so probably not.
