This is the FINAL section of the 100 Days of Social Leadership. It follows on from Social Capital (HERE) and focuses on collaboration:

90 – Considerations for collaboration

This day asks us to reflect on what is the single most factor for collaboration. For me this is TRUST. Trust unlocks the door to dialogue. If we do not have dialogue then we cannot share our mental models nor support each other effectively. Overall I have heard similar ideas from others. Trust is a key facet of collaboration and social leadership.

91 – Trust

This day really follows on from the previous day. I really like the work of Patrick Lencioni on teams and how trust is the basis of team performance [direct link to source]:

Here is a short video on the topic of trust by the author:

92 – Negotiation

This day asks to consider where tension arises. The OU is so large and complex that tension and conflict are part and parcel of daily life. Conflict is not particularly a bad thing if managed well. tension often arises from a difference of “valid” ideas. To me it is clear that the OU has the student front and centre of everything that we do. The conflicts are around how to we best support them.
